Terms of Service
Not yet in effect — this is a pre-launch draft.
What Foodlete is
Foodlete is a nutrition tracking and planning app for athletes. It reads the training you log or connect, types each day, and gives carbohydrate, protein, fat, fluid and sodium targets to aim at.
By using Foodlete you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Foodlete is not medical advice
This is the most important term here. Foodlete is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical, dietetic or clinical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Its targets are general guidance drawn from common sports-nutrition practice. They are starting points for a healthy adult athlete, not a plan tailored to you, your medical history or any condition you have.
Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to how you eat — and especially if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, or have any history of disordered eating.
Foodlete gives no dosing advice for supplements. It records what you choose to take.
You are responsible for what you eat and drink. Stop and seek medical help if you feel unwell.
Your account
You need an account, and you must give an email address you control. Keep access to it: it is how you sign in.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@foodleteapp.com if you think someone else has access.
You must be at least 16 to use Foodlete.
Your data is yours
You keep ownership of everything you log. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, show it back to you, and share it with the people you choose.
You can export it at any time from Settings, and delete your account from the same place.
How we handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Sharing with coaches and others
When you share data, you decide which categories and for how long. You are responsible for who you invite.
A coach or dietitian with edit rights can change your day types and targets. Their changes are recorded and shown to you.
We are not a party to your relationship with a coach or dietitian, and we are not responsible for advice they give you.
Connected services
Apple Health and Strava are governed by their own terms. Connecting them is optional, and you can disconnect at any time.
If a connected service changes or stops providing data, parts of Foodlete may stop working. Powered by Strava.
The beta
During the beta Foodlete is free, and beta testers keep that pricing through launch. We will announce pricing before the beta ends.
Beta software has bugs, and features may change or be removed. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — Settings › Export my data.
What we do not promise
Foodlete is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its targets suit you.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from decisions you make about food, training or health.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending it
You can stop using Foodlete and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or end an account that abuses the service or puts others at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
Changes and contact
We will tell you in the app before these terms change in a way that affects you.
